Quality Research Respondent Panel

What makes a quality research panel and why is this important?

A high quality research panel is one that is representative of the online population. The common way representation is measured is by comparing the demographics of all the panel members against the Census. Most panel owners do this and we can provide this comparison on request.

However, the second way representation needs to be measured is about attitudes. In our view, a great research panel has people of all points of views taking part in surveys, and doing so for quite different reasons. Achieving, monitoring and adjusting this attitudinal balance on our panel is what differentiates buzzthepeople from any other panel in New Zealand.

This is important. It's important because the quality of your respondents will determine the robustness of the answers you get in your surveys. If you are going to make decisions based on the research results, you need to be confident you are talking to the right people; people who are the same as your market in their age, gender, wealth, location and attitudes.

Important points about how we work

1. Our panel is very responsive and our internal processes enable us to offer sub-24 hour turnaround. So if you need urgency, try us out.

2. As part of our quality standards, we only field surveys to buzzthepeople that we are hosting. If you want to use our panel, we need to set your questionnaire up in our system. Lots of research companies get us to do this for them, as well as our direct clients, and if you already have the research nouse, your survey will go straight into our operational team for scripting.

3. We do not promote products or services to our panel, sell lists or do any advertising. It is definitely research only.

4. Where you have tricky or large sample requirements, we act as lead panel supplier and work with one or two other reputable panel companies to meet your requirements. This includes de-duplicating lists so that people who are on multiple panels are only invited to take place once. Third party panels are only used with our client's permission.
