As civil, structural and fire engineers, Redco designs all the engineering aspects of building projects – from the building foundations and framework, right through to the roof structure, as well as other features such as concrete slabs, retaining walls and sign supports.
Redco has designed the cargo shed at the Port of Tauranga with the largest clear span portal frame ever built in New Zealand. We also worked on Tauranga’s tallest building, the 16-storey Devonport Tower apartment block in downtown Tauranga – the tallest building outside Auckland or Wellington. On both of these large projects, Redco was engaged by clients who knew and respected the company’s astute and cost-effective engineering design skills.
A speciality field is the design of buildings constructed from polystyrene coolroom panels. These panels are great for kiwifruit coolstores, of course, but they are also very versatile. They can be used for many other types of buildings that require clean, smart surfaces inside and out. They are used for the Kiwifruit, Meat, Fish, Dairy, Wine and food processing industries, service stations, fast-food outlets, building site huts and even relocatable housing.
We also specialise in:
- Light steel frame houses and buildings
- AAC (Autoclaved Aerated Concrete) buildings
- Multi-storey structural steel frame.
