24 January 2012

We are excited to announce the establishment of a branch office in the central CBD of Tauranga commencing early April 2012. This will extend our serviceable area for clients from Franklin through to Tauranga, the Western Bay, Hauraki Plains and Matamata Piako Districts. We see Tauranga as a strategic location for the future which has seen similar high levels of growth as the Franklin District in the past.

A number of our existing clients have properties and developments within these Districts and an office in Tauranga will provide these clients with the same high level of service that we currently provide from Pukekohe.

The success of a branch office is dependant on being able to transfer existing systems to a new office and providing key staff to manage the workload. With theĀ  availability of remote IT, the transfer of systems has become increasingly simple. We are also very fortunate that Carl Salmons, a senior licensed Surveyor has accepted the challenge to transfer to Tauranga with his family and build our Tauranga office. He will however be able to continue to provide support to existing clients from Pukekohe remotely and through regular visits to Pukekohe.

We see this development as being consistent with our growth plans for the Company as well as providing Carl with exciting new opportunities to further his career.

During February and March we will be establishing the office and facilities, but if you have projects coming up this year, Carl would love to hear from you. His DDI is 09 237 0783 or if you are down in the Tauranga/Western Bay area you can call on our new Tauranga number 07 577 1510.

Articles, Surveyors Pukekohe, Surveyors Tauranga, Surveyors Auckland, Surveyors Bay of Plenty - my neighbour is transferring a title onto their prope

As well as consulting with our clients neighbours on these matters, we are regularly called upon to provide advice to neighbours who have been approached to provide their consent to a proposed title transfer. If Council deems other parties are potentially adversely affected, then it is likely that the application would be notified to those parties, and potentially other persons as well.

Auckland Council recently notified and sought submissions on a number of Plan Changes which identified and protected specific trees and groups of trees throughout the region. If one of these trees was on your property, or you were a neighbour then you should have received notification of these proposals, and told how you could make a submission.

Articles, Surveyors Pukekohe, Surveyors Tauranga, Surveyors Auckland, Surveyors Bay of Plenty - first steps to subdivision

You could call in to Council and ask to speak to a planning officer, who should be able to identify the rules which govern subdivision in your area, but they will not give you professional advice on whether to apply for a consent. The reason for this is that there are many facets involved which include marketing, legal aspects, valuation, tax considerations, and of course the subdivision of the land itself.
