I want you to spend more time shopping than reading the small print so these are as simple as, but please note that we have a few legal bits and we may amend these terms at anytime so be sure to check these out when you shop here again.
We accept Cheque, Direct Credit & Credit Card (Visa & MasterCard). These payment options are seen at the checkout, so just follow the directions. All credit card payments are made through our hosted payment provider DPS (Direct Payment Solutions) who are a secure processing centre for all credit card processing. Please note for added security on Credit Card transactions we may call you back on the number provided at checkout to confirm the details. Please accept our apologies if this causes inconvenience to you or delays your delivery, but we consider this is a small price to pay for Credit Card fraud. If paying by Cheque or Direct Credit we will issue goods once funds have cleared.
We aim to deliver within 2-3 days, anywhere in New Zealand, depending on stock availability, payment method, where you live and time of order. We aim to send out orders the day they are received, as long as it before 3pm. However, a number of our products are dispatched direct from our suppliers and these products may not be dispatched until the following day. Saturday, rural and International delivery can be arranged but this will incur an additional cost (see Freight below). Delivery time for items paid for by cheque or direct credit will be 2-3 days after funds clear. Delivery time to International destinations is dependant on location and is not included in the timeframe above. Delivery times are not applicable for orders made on public holidays or weekends. In these cases orders will be dispatched on the next available working day.
Most orders are dispatched with a track & trace number, however, some products dispatched by our suppliers are dispatched without a track & trace number.
If the order has not arrived in the specified timeframe we will help locate it, if you contact us. But, if provided, please try the track & trace number first, to see what is happening to the order. In any case, it is the Customer's responsibility to contact us if the product is delayed.
At this stage we will contact suppliers or the courier to locate the order. During this process we reserve the right to withhold a refund or to issue a replacement, unless we are satisfied that it has been lost.
, so that we can respond with a calculation of the cost. (Due to the high risk of fraudulent orders, please note that we only accept orders from New Zealand or Australian addresses for delivery to an overseas address).
NB: We reserve the right to send an item by a more economical method if the cost of freight is prohibitive compared to the cost of the product purchased and the amount received for Freight. In particular, this applies to Beach Buddies which will be sent by normal post.
Returns & Refunds
If for some reason you are not satisfied with any product (except some items listed below) or it is faulty we will happily exchange the item, provide a gift voucher or provide a refund (excluding freight). However, if the item is being returned as unsatisfactory it must be returned in a merchantable condition e.g. with any packaging intact. Please contact us within 14 days of delivery (by phone or email) and we will email you the procedure for returning the product (just saves you time reading about it here). During the Christmas period (1st to 23rd December) we will extend this period to 14 days after Christmas Day to allow for Uncle Bob not liking his String underwear! Please note that all refunds will be credited minus the freight costs and in the same manner that the original order was placed i.e. if paid by Visa the amount will be credited by Visa to the same Credit Card number.
Please note that the cost of returning the goods is the Customer's liability unless they are faulty. Also, we do not accept returns for overseas orders unless the goods are faulty. The above does not apply if orders are undelivered in the specified timeframe (see Delivery above).
Excepted items - Foosball or Hockey Tables, Next Base items including DVD Players or accessories, Crosley Items such as Record Players & Juke Boxes, Coffee Machines, Canvas Clocks, Kangoo Jumps, Special Orders and reduced items.
If you change your mind after you have selected a product but before you finalize your order at the checkout simply delete the product from the list.
To cancel an order once it has been submitted please phone us immediately and we may be able to cancel the order before it is shipped, otherwise refer to Returns & Refunds above.
NB: When signing up as customer and agreeing to receive promotional information, you agree that you have given us your express consent to receive electronic messages from us that promote our products.
Your details are kept for the BT club only so that you will can receive information from It's A Boy Thing about products or promotions in our newsletter.
The following is some legal stuff to read about privacy and jurisdiction.
Collecting Information: Whenever you access this website, It's A Boy Thing will collect the following types of information from you: -
- The IP address of your machine when connected to the Internet and the domain name from which you are accessing the internet;

The Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 applies unless you are purchasing for Business purposes or it is an overseas order.
All prices shown are in New Zealand Dollars and are inclusive of GST, although GST is shown separately when you add products to your basket, and when confirming your order, so don’t suddenly think that you’ve got more money to spend.
