Branding and identity design I've been working on brand projects since the early nineties — when design was actually done with a pen and paper and well before 'lol' was a word. A lot has changed since then but my approach to branding is pretty much the same — I look for the most refreshing and interesting ways to communicate what actually makes you interesting. I don't describe my approach as being a scientific process and I don't use fancy branding terms to help me stand out from my competitors. For me, branding is about human nature — developing brands with strong human characteristics that people find appealing and can engage with. I work with clients in any sector and of any size — from small startups to whole cities — and believe all clients should have access to good design and branding which is why I have a very flexible approach to pricing. Print and publication design I have many years experience designing books, magazines, brochures, annual reports, CSR reports, stationery, posters, packaging and other printed items. My in-depth knowledge of materials and understanding of print processes often leads to design solutions that can push print boundaries and create standout. When managing print on my clients' behalf this experience ensures I deliver the highest quality results. Digital design and development My services also extend to digital design and development. The digital projects I work on are a seamless extension of my traditional design skills and thinking — brand communication and engagement is still at the core. I design and build responsive websites and work with a number of collaborators on cms integration, applications and e-commerce projects. Other things I like to do Branding, design for print and digital design and development are the things I do every day but I also like to work on projects that require more three dimensional design skills. I enjoy environmental and way-finding design and have worked on a number of exhibitions for the Tate and the Imperial War Museum in the UK, developing the three dimensional and 2 dimensional aspects of exhibitions and the marketing materials. I've also designed reception desks for Chorus and designed a number of marketing suites for property developers as well as providing design direction for a number of interior design schemes. I've found many design skills are quite transferable and I love a new challenge.
