Bigger bears is our transition to school room. We have 2 teachers in Bigger bears with our eldest children who attend 9am to 3pm each day. At Bigger bears we have time to focus on all the skills needed for when we start school for example lunch box days, busy book time (writing and math), beginner reading skills and computer skills.
A great school experience starts here. Children are in a safe environment they know and love, which makes learning more effective and fun. Our programme is comprehensive, skill-based and designed to prepare children for their first year and ongoing success in school. We want your child to enjoy and appreciate the educational process. The room is tailored to meet your child’s individual needs and designed to give children opportunities to explore, question, communicate and create in a fun, supportive environment. We integrate our programme with that of local primary schools, so that entering the first year is a smooth transition for your child.
Our curriculum promotes independence while preparing your child for the next exciting phase—school! We make the transition smoother by helping children become more familiar with an organized environment. Plus we focus more on small group play to develop social skills, such as listening, sharing and cooperation.
This is an important time in a child’s life to prepare for school and to develop a love of learning.
Our rich, nurturing environment supports your child’s development socially, physically, emotionally and intellectually to prepare him or her for school, all while your child is having fun. Plus you will feel confident knowing our programme is designed to meet early learning standards established by Ministry of Education and national professional teaching organizations.
When the goal is learning, it is essential to use methods that work. Our programme is designed to meet or exceed Ministry Of Education content standards for pre school readiness. We pull together the best educational research, tools and time-tested methods to effectively prepare students in a positive and fun way.
