Reiki Healing

Reiki sessions can be either 30 minutes or 1 hour in length. The person receiving Reiki lays fully clothed on a massage table. The practitioner holds her hands on / above the recipient. The healing energy comes thru the Reiki Practitioner’s hands. The Practitioner work thru a sequence of hand positions. The client’s body then draws the amount of energy that is required for healing.

Reiki penetrates through the clothing, linens, and wood of the table. Unlike massage, Reiki does not involve skin manipulation.

So, while the healing energy comes thru Reiki Practitioners’ hands, the client is the actual healer.

It is not unusual for the recipient of Reiki healing to fall asleep during a session as a result of the deep sense of relaxation.

Reiki Distance Healing

When healing energy or Reiki is send to another time or location, it is called Distant Reiki. The remote healing can be sent to you, someone you love, relationships, situations and events. It can be sent to any place in the world and to any time – there are no time nor space restrictions. Geographic or time distance between the Reiki practitioner’s healing session and the Reiki recipient has no effect on the quality of the healing.

Ideally, you have given your Reiki Master has a recent photo, your name plus your physical location.
It’s nice if you can meditate while receiving Distant Reiki. You may lay on bed or sit quietly. You will probably be aware of the energy through your body, and thoughts for your healing might come to mind. However, awareness and meditation is not a prerequisite for Reiki to succeed.
If you can not meditate at the agreed time, just go about your life while the Reiki healing is being sent to you. The distant healing treatment will arrive no matter what you are doing, and you will receive its benefits.
Distant Reiki Works
You only need to give permission and be open to receiving the distance healing for the healing to work. You don’t even need to believe in Reiki for it to work.

What it feels like to receive a distance reiki healing

You may feel heat, tingling, coldness and/or have visual experiences during your distant healing session. All are normal. If you felt nothing, or if you fell asleep, it does not mean the treatment was unsuccessful. Rather, if nothing is felt that may mean that the healing energy was working on some issues other than physical, namely the emotional, mental or spiritual bodies as directed by your soul.

Reiki Training

The ability to perform Reiki is passed on from teacher to student during a Reiki class that also teaches hand positions to use during treatments on yourself and others. Reiki has been successfully taught to thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds around the world.

Reiki is taught in a series of three levels. There are three levels of Reiki training.  Beginners start at 1st Level (Reiki One).  At this introductory level the student can perform Reiki on themselves, family and friends and it is not regarded as a practitioner level. Cost is $250 with $50 deposit required.

Level 2 (Reiki Two) further deepens the understanding of Reiki with new techniques introduced and the student may receive some clinical training and consider starting a professional practice.  $200 with $50 deposit required.

Level 3 (Reiki Three) may be divided into two sections.  The first section (3A) teaches further techniques which considerably assist the students with their self-growth.  The second section (Reiki Master Training) will train the student to become an independent Reiki Master/Teacher. Cost $350 with $50 deposit required

All classes can be on an individual or group basis.

Relaxation Massage

Relaxation massage brings about a general sense of unwinding within the body and reduces muscle tension. It assists general health and immune function. Some of the benefits are reduced effects of stress and anxiety, calming the nervous system. promoting a sense of well-being, improved blood circulation and stimulating the bodies lymphatic system which carries away waste products. Pressure may be lighter or deeper depending on the receiver, and may be general ot more focused depending on particular muscle groups. Research studies show that touch is essential for health and well-being.

Kinesiology

The fundamental premise of Kinesiology is that the body has innate healing energy and is at all times doing its best to care for itself, but that sometimes it needs to be helped into a better position to achieve this care.

Kinesiology also recognises that there are flows of energy within the body that relate not only to the muscles but to every tissue and organ that go to make the body a living, feeling being.

These energy flows can be evaluated by testing the function of the muscles, which in turn reflect the body’s overall state of structural, chemical, or emotional balance. In this way Kinesiology taps into energies that the more conventional modalities overlook. Kinesiology looks beyond symptoms. Kinesiology does not treat named diseases. Nor does it diagnose them. Kinesiology is concerned with imbalances in the body’s energy.

In this respect, Kinesiology has close links with the accupuncture concept of energy flow. Where, as the result of injury, emotional trauma, nutritional or other unresolved stress, the energy flow is interrupted, the whole body is affected. The exact nature of blockage in the energy flow can be more closely identified by ‘muscle testing’. Acupressure massage, light touch and other simple correction skills are used to restore muscle ‘balance’, which has a flow-on effect into total body energy. Kinesiology is often called ‘muscle balancing’ or ‘energy balancing’ – helping the body into a better position to heal itself or reach a specified goal by ‘balancing’ its energies.
Kinesiology is not limited to dealing with ailments. Energy balancing brings a person closer to achieving any goal of their choice – in sport, relationships, learning or coping with life generally. This energy balancing that is at the heart of Kinesiology may involve dealing with one or more of the stress factors already mentioned: identifying a nutritional lack or excess, clearing a negative emotional component, relieving pain, stimulating the integration of muscle groups, or improving mental and physical coordination.
