Dear partners & friends, It is with great excitement and anticipation that we bring you this news. Our much anticipated local programming is now a reality. Praise the Lord!
Local Programming is Launched!
You may have noticed recently that we have aired some infomercials on TBN for the Perth4Jesus Evangelistic Rally which is back again this year, except this time it will be aired exclusively on TBN later in October! Precise details of the airing time will be announced to all our partners. We encourage you to come and be a part of God’s glorious move in the city of Perth! This year it is expected to surpass the successes of 2010’s Perth4Jesus rally which saw some 3000 people reached and 153 new decisions made for Christ. God’s love and awesome power were demonstrated through the many miraculous healings that took place. Indeed, the blind saw, the lame walked and the deaf heard! All glory to Jesus! We believe wholeheartedly that Perth4Jesus 2011 will see a multiplication of 2010‘s impact on several fronts.
Two great men of God are coming to minister this year, Evangelist ROBERT KAYANJA from Uganda and Pastor KONG HEE from Singapore. We will also make the event available on DVD for those wanting to capture the experience and use it as an evangelical tool.
You may contact the Perth4Jesus team for further information. Come visit the TBN team at the Christian Expo and say hello! We will announce new exciting additional programming as they near their airing time. Perth4Jesus and other similar types of projects are becoming more financially demanding and frequent. The work must be done and souls must be reached in all our Pacific Nations and cities! Your financial support is so greatly needed and appreciated in order to continue forward. Our aim is to reach all the colourful and diverse Pacific cultures “quickly”.
TBN needs to acquire much essential equipment to keep up with the growing demand. If you would like to see a particular ministry on TBN or know of a special upcoming event, please contact our office with your request.
On Monday 18th July 2011, TelstraClear disconnected TBN channel (113) from their cable network. As mentioned in our last newsletter, all TBN operations in the South Pacific are now run by TBN Australia and we’ve had to consolidate all our contractual obligations under this single entity. Despite attempts on our behalf to prevent disruptions to the service, TelstraClear have not yet been forthcoming in negotiating a new contract. Your voice may speed up the process in an appeal. All our New Zealand partners that have been inconvenienced by this decision should lodge a formal complaint to TelstaClear by calling 0508 888 800 For the meantime, if you are a TBN partner affected by TelstraClear, TBN wants to help you get connected via satellite through a subsidy / incentive plan. Please check the box under the “TBN Installation & Service Enquiries“ section on the form supplied, fill in the form and post it back to us as conditions apply.
iTBN is Here!
TBN launched on 15 September a new online service, iTBN, a one-stop shop for all the net’s past and present programming. iTBN, is available on smartphones, laptops and connected televisions as part of TBN’s strategy to make Christian programming more accessible to those viewers who don’t watch “traditional televison.” Visit www.itbn.org now!
Please continue to pray for the whole TBN team. We do appreciate the many ways in which you, our faithful partners continue to bless this ministry!
