Taekwondo New Zealand
Taekwondo New Zealand is pleased to announce that Vaughn Scott, Logan Campbell and Robin Cheong have been selected to represent New Zealand in the Taekwondo event at the 2012 London Olympic Games. Both Robin and Logan will become double-Olympians having previously competed at the 2008 Olympics, while Vaughn Scott will make his Olympic debut in London. All three athletes have competed regularly at top level international competition under TNZ's High Performance programme over the last two years. This was topped off with all three winning gold at the WTF Oceania Olympic Qualifier held in New Caledonia last September. Vaughn will be competing in the men's under 80Kgs division, Logan in the men's under 58Kgs, and Robin in the women's under 57Kgs division. Taekwondo New Zealand congratulates our three Olympians on their selection. Next up is the Canada Open in the build up to London and ahead of that Vaughn Scott will take to the mats competing this Saturday 17th March at the New Zealand Open, which is being held at the Avondale College Sports Gymnasium in Auckland. Keep an eye on our website for regular updates on our three Olympians as they prepare for London.
