Multistrand anchorages have been used in the design and construction of bridges, buildings and civil engineering projects throughout the world. Post Tensioning & Grouting use and supply the VSL prestressing range of Multistrand anchors comprising strand options from three to fifty-five in both 12.7 and 15.2 dia. strand.

Multistrand stressing uses hydraulic jacks to apply a simultaneous uniform force to the strand within a Multistrand anchor head. This is applied after the surrounding concrete has cured and reached a specified strength. The strand are then fastened at the live end by wedge grips. The free space inside the duct is then pressure-filled with cement grout.
