NZPROVIDE - Our Services

NZProvide Consultancy Services

NZProvide can co-ordinate the delivery of the following health, medical and rehabilitation services throughout New Zealand. We work through quality local providers who can deliver quality outcomes in a timely and cost effective manner.

The following services are offered as outlined in the table below:

Services List- Descriptions

1. Occupational Specialist assessment- Review- Second assessment or file review, with an Occupational Specialist, to assist with determination of ACC coverage.

1. Occupational Specialist assessment Incl all travel costs- Full medical assessment by an Occupational Specialist to determine diagnosis and treatment and advise on ACC coverage. Also includes all additional costs such as travel.

2. Psychological Services- Psychological assessment or support services as outlined by the case manager. Objectives include providing confirmation of assessed psychological issues, functional limitations and appropriate psychological rehabilitation strategies; providing timely and appropriate, evidenced-based psychological interventions, providing claimant education for self management and achieving agreed outcome specifications.

6. Pain management- Integrated pain management programme with multidiscipline team including psychiatrist, psychologist and physiotherapist, using a variety of strategies to lessen or eliminate pain.

8. Workplace assessment- Follow up- Follow up to a workplace assessment, possibly including site visit, phone calls, emails, and meetings with interested parties.

8. Workplace assessment- Preventative- A very brief workstation assessment for new or relocated employees. Approximately 15-20 minutes per employee. Often used for multiple assessments in one visit. Single report highlights names of those assessed, key concerns, changes made and any recommendations.

8. Workplace assessment-Simple- Used for a brief work station assessment where usually no significant symptoms or injury claim involved. Total billing time, inclusive of time on site and brief individual report, is typically no more than 1.5 hours. If the provider considers it necessary to extend the assessment, the concerns should be discussed with the case manager.

9. GRTW Monitoring- Regular monitoring of a graduated return to work plan.

15. ABP – Activity Based Prog, with attendance of 6-12 weeks- Physiotherapy activity programme extending over a number of weeks. Used for claimants who have persistent injury related pain that has lasted more than 6 weeks. Predominantly delivered by physiotherapists and occupational therapists. May also be known as a functional reactivation programme (FRP).

Blood Pressure: Measurement of the amount of pressure exerted against the walls of the blood vessels. Normal BP is 120/80 in adults.
Blood Glucose: Measurement of the concentration of glucose in the blood. Can give early indication of diabetes risk.
Cholesterol: Measurement of cholesterol levels in the body. Too much cholesterol in the body can lead to narrowing and blockage of the arteries, especially those that feed the heart and keep it healthy

Services under development

Plastic Surgeon Assessment - An assessment by a specialist plastic surgeon to determine viability of surgery options.

Asbestos Consult - Clinical review of asbestos health monitoring file by a medical professional.

IMA (Initial Medical Assessment) - An assessment to determine whether the types of work identified in an initial occupational assessment, and described by the accompanying Work Type Detail Sheets are, or are likely to be, medically sustainable for the claimant.

Ophthalmology -Assessment and treatment of eye injuries and conditions.

Rheumatology - Assessment of clinical problems involving joints and soft tissues related to arthritis and other ailments of the joints.

VIMA (Vocational Independence Medical Assessment) - A medical assessment to provide an opinion as to whether, having regard to the claimants personal injury, the claimant has the capacity to undertake any type of work identified in the occupational assessment and reflected in the claimants individual rehabilitation plan.

Child Care - Provision of childcare services.

Interpreter - Translation Expert, serving as a mediator between the claimant and a second party, of which both speak different languages.

IRP Sign Off - Facilitation of Individual rehab plan Sign-Off. The IRP has usually been prepared by the case manager, following earlier discussions with the claimant.

VIOA (Vocational Independence Occupational Assessment) - Assessment of the progress and outcomes of a Claimant’s vocational rehabilitation, consideration of whether the types of work identified in the IOA are still suitable and assessment of whether any new types of work are now suitable.

Case Management - Contract case management services as specified, on behalf of Wellnz.
