Margate RTU
This unit transfers data from a PLC to a Telemetry Base Station via an analogue radio system. The unit has three dedicated communication ports; one for the radio Comms, one for communication with a PLC and third to talk to a external device such as a staff card reader. The unit will work the radio at baud rates of either 300 or 1200. This unit may be powered from a normal 12Volts. The board has three isolated digital inputs and two isolated digital outputs. The heart of the unit is a programmed Z-World Rabbit micro-processor. All software is written in “c”.

MSP MotherboardThis motherboard has been designed to hold a QRTU and can accommodate 24 digital inputs, 16 digital outputs and 4 analog inputs. It has a battery monitoring circuit that limits the current into a 12Volt LA battery. The Monitoring circuit also cuts the power from the Radio and RTU system if low voltage has been detected. This feed is held off for a set time once power has resumed.Prox ModuleThis is the staff card prox reader that interfaces to the Margate RTU. The unit can be programmed to detect 64 uses. It has several digital inputs and outputs for end user control. The heart of the unit is a programmed Z-World Rabbit micro-processor. All software is written in “c”.Radio Interface UnitThis unit converts 600ohm balanced line signaling into Tx and Rx audio signals from an analogue type radio telephone. Other controls include TxOn to turn the radio transmitter on and Busy detection to detect incoming reception. MPulse UnitThis unit electrically interfaces with pulse generators like water metering, swing gates andother RTU equipment. It counts pulses coming in and can slowly feed said pulses out at a pre-determined rate. An internal switch selects the divider system for either unit, tens, hundreds.Battery Monitoring CircuitThis battery monitoring circuit is designed to charge 12Volt Lead Acid batteries. It limits the current into a 12Volt LA battery to 700mA and will stop charging a battery if the batteries voltage falls below 8volts. The Monitoring circuit also cuts the power from the Radio and RTU system if low voltage has been detected. This feed is held off for a set time (1, 5, 10, 30, 60 minutes) once power has resumed.
