Pacherenc du Vic Bilh and Jurançon sweet whites
The stunning late harvest sweet Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh and similar Jurançon can be enjoyed in so many ways. They are made to partner with Foies Gras, pate, terrine, parfait, blue and sheep milk cheeses, fresh fruit and desserts
. DO NOT pigeon-hole these wines as only “dessert” or “pudding” wines. There are very fresh, flexible and perfect compliment for many foods.
From the heart of the Madiran, the wonderful sweet
wines are characterized by their aromatic richness, as are the Jurançon. With pronounced acidity and less sugar than Sauternes they are wines of superb freshness, balance and sophistication.
Typically there are three pickings at the end of the season, in late October, late November and late December. The wines from each picking are richer and more intense than the former.
