Most of us are familiar with the use of video cassette recorders (VCRs) in the home, but this technology has been surpassed by the advent of digital recorders.

First Watch has access to various digital video recorders featuring a wide range of advanced functions and recording modes. The superb versatility of these various recorders meets a broad range of our clients' applications.

Video motion devices can be used to detect movement in a camera's field of view. Once activity has been established, the video motion detector will activate videotaping of the specified alarm zone.

This chain of events can also be activated by other devices such as door contacts, infra-red or microwave motion detectors, and card access alarms. First Watch System's expertise and commitment to quality design ensures that the proper activating device will be assigned to each video switching input.

A digital recorder allows multiple cameras to be conected together and monitored simultaneously from a single location and using a single monitor. The picture of any camera can be displayed in full screen or cameras can be displayed in various multiscreen modes. Other features include still and zoom selections and, when connected to appropriate cameras, pan, tilt and zoom functions. Live spot or sequence monitoring is available via monitor output during recording.

Several recorder options are available, such as 4, 8, 9 and 16 camera versions.

First Watch Systems Limited recognises that, because every client and site is unique, the range of products required to meet the varied requirements needs to be extensive. Without the aid of closed circuit television, this may require an extensive security manpower force. Security Officers must monitor points of access and patrol vulnerable interior and exterior areas. Securing a facility with personnel alone can be expensive and inefficient.
