Sweetcorn

Frozen sweetcorn puree is made from freshly-milled supersweet corn kernels. The sweetcorn is harvested at the correct maturity, cut, blanched, cooled and blast frozen.

Sweetcorn puree can also be produced from IQF sweetcorn, ensuring year-round availability.

Frozen corn puree is 100% pure and does not contain any other ingredients or food additives.

Uses:

  • Frozen sweetcorn puree is used as an ingredient in the manufacture of packaged beverages, soups and sauces as well as pie fillings, confectionery, snacks and liquid soups.

Pumpkin

Frozen pumpkin puree is manufactured from mature Ebisu and dry type pumpkins.

The Ebisu variety is used because of its desirable flavour, sweetness and deep yellow/orange colour. The product is 100% pure pumpkin puree and does not contain any other ingredients or food additives.

Processing takes place from early April to mid May.

Uses:

  • Frozen pumpkin puree is used an ingredient for pie fillings, confectionery, snacks, liquid soups and as a natural colourant.

A complete range of purees, from sweet corn, pumpkin, celery, green peas, carrots, onion, broccoli to name a few, can be processed using UHT technology. Other ingredients (eg milk, cream, sugar, starch) can be blended with these raw materials prior to sterilisation to meet specific customer formulations.

  • What is UHT?
    Ultra High Temperature is a thermal sterilisation process designed to heat low acid purees to temperatures of approximately 140 C for short periods of time, then fill into pre-sterilised bags in a sterile atmosphere utilising a special low-acid bag filling system. This is in contrast to other forms of sterilisation like canning and retort systems.

The UHT purees produced are commercially sterile and can be stored and distributed at normal ambient temperatures.

Sweetcorn

UHT sweet corn puree is made from freshly-milled supersweet corn / IQF corn kernels. The sweet corn is harvested at optimum maturity, cut, blanched, then processed using Cedenco UHT technology.

Product is available in various packaging formats - 240kg drum, 1x15kg BIB, 3x5kg BIB

Uses:

  • UHT sweet corn puree is used as an ingredient in the manufacture of soups and beverages as well as confectionery fillings and snacks.

Pumpkin

UHT Pumpkin puree is manufactured from mature pumpkins. Different varieties can be processed to meet different market taste preferences. The Ebisu Buttercup Squash is targeted to Japan, whereas the Butternut variety suits other market tastes.

Uses:

  • UHT Pumpkin puree is used as an ingredient in the manufacture of consumer packaged soups and beverages. They are also used as ingredients for confectionery fillings and dips and snacks.
