We only use industry leading applications to ensure our clients networks operate as they intended. All of our test equipment is owned and operated by CTEG engineers and is independently calibrated as required. We believe that all technical services companies should own and operate their own certification equipment to ensure high standards are maintained across the industry. Many companies rent test hardware only when required for large projects, and therefore cannot access or offer this level of test, certification, and analysis equipment to their clients on a daily basis.

Fixed Copper and Optical Network Performance Certification:

Fluke Networks set the industry benchmark in diagnostic and certification tools for the communications cabling sector. CTEG own and operate the following certification equipment which allows us to produce full written performance documentation for our clients. Without correct certification by appropriately trained technicians, cabled network performance guarantees and manufacturer warranties cannot be issued.

Optical Fibre Fusion Splicing and Testing:

CTEG operate the Fujikura FSM-60S fusion splicer which sets the standard for core alignment fusion splicing by incorporating a user-friendly interface with enhanced features to provide the most rugged and reliable fusion splicer in the market today. The new rugged construction adds improved reliability by resisting shock, dust, and rain, and can withstand a 30ft drop test.

The FSM-60S splices a fibre in 9 seconds and heats a 60mm splice sleeve in 30 seconds, for a total cycle time of only 39 seconds. Other features, such as automatic tube heater operation, user-selectable clamping method (sheath clamp or fibre holder system), automated monitor image orientation, and battery charge capability during splicer operation provide CTEG engineers and clients with a productivity tool they can count on.

WLAN Planning, Survey and Troubleshooting:

We utilise the industry leading Ekahau Site Survey Pro software suite for all WLAN deployment, maintenance and analysis work. ESS Pro works over any 802.11x network and is optimised for today's latest 802.11n centrally managed Wi-Fi networks. This class leading application is also deployed on board our CTEG Survey vehicles to deliver highly accurate WLAN survey reporting to our clients.

RF Spectrum Analysis and Reporting:

CTEG operate dedicated Spectrum Analysis equipment which utilises the Metageek Wi-Spy 2.4xxx and DBX Pro hardware spectrum analyser and Channalyser Pro software suite. We can perform sophisticated analysis on all prospective 802.11xx WLAN sites (external and internal) in both the 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz frequency bands.

Dedicated WLAN Survey Vehicles:

CTEG operate specialist WLAN Survey and Support technical service vehicles across the country in support of our clients who have large external WLAN infrastructure in place that needs to be surveyed and maintained. Our CTEG survey vehicles are able to deploy to any remote site, with fully independent dual onboard 240VAC power supplies, and are fitted with the latest RF and WLAN monitoring, recording and analysis equipment.
