The Aviation Institutes most recent graduates of its Airline Customer Service programme celebrated on Thursday 3rd March at an event held at the Auckland Campus.
Students and their families enjoyed an evening of music, cultural entertainment and of course the graduation ceremony. Rob Fyfe, Air New Zealand’s CEO relayed to the group that great customer service is amongst other things a personal choice, if you want to be a customer service star its up to you. Auckland Chamber of Commerce CEO, Mr Michael Barnett reinforced this message, and talked about “Brand You” and how graduates should leverage their personal brand to obtain the results and career aspirations they seek. Down to the business end of the night it was pleasing to see 67 students graduate and receive their certificates, and hear of the wonderful employment success stories. These graduates included Customer Service Assistants, Airline Assistants, Contact Centre Consultants, Flight Attendants, and Airline Concierges, from Air New Zealand, Air Nelson, Auckland International Airport and Cathay Pacific.
