The G2-1648 is a Hybrid IP Communication System which combines the advantage of traditional telecommunications along with the convergence of VoIP technology giving the ability to build a solution that best suits the diverse needs of any business. This integrated IP-based capability protects a customers investment and ensures a wide range of options for expanding a customers information and communication infrastructure as their business grows. The G2-1648 offers a unique combination of outside line interfaces. It can serve as a branch office system for VoIP multi-site applications. Or choose between efficient ISDN lines or PSTN.G2-1648 is the cornerstone of an expanding small to medium sized business. With configuration sizes starting as small as 4 lines by 8 stations, the G2-1648 expands to a maximum of 16 telephone lines and up to 48 stations. Flexible system configuration allows building of a G2- 1648 with up to 40 digital series telephone sets or up to 44 single line stations. The G2-1648 also has the ability to expand up into the GDS platformThe G2-1648 offers a cost effective thoughtfully designed “Hospitality Solution” for Motels and Hotels with between 10-40 rooms. The G2-1648 with its multiple integrated systems means you can say “Goodbye” to training headaches and servicing various equipment types and say “Hello” to a solution that incorporates your desired mix of administrative and Guests telephones, options of Auto Attendant, Room Voice Mail, Front Desk Operations, Guest Services, Call Accounting and Much More.

Auto Attendant Automated Attendant to answer up to 6 in-coming calls simultaneously.
Every station has its dedicated voice mail box to let callers leave messages when you are busy or away from your desk. The Virtual Mail Boxes will provide many special features, such as group mail box, selective product promotion announcement, etc.

This alleviates hours of on site time, minimizing installation costs for both dealer and customer.
Easy Maintenance Solid-state design minimizes trouble and eliminates periodic maintenance. Expansion- Various Interface Cards for simple, modular expansion. Versatile programming and options for ease of selection. Database Flash Memory Back Up - Customer data is backed up when the power is turned off and there is no battery to replace. Battery Back Up (System Operation) - GE systems can be equipped with an optional battery back up which keeps the system operational in the case of a commercial power failure. Customer Care Programming - Customers and service personnel can easily communicate and perform programming right over the telephone. HYBREX telephone systems allow programming and voice conversations to be performed at the same time. Advanced software upgrades – Through the RS232 connection, system software can be upgraded easily without replacing any firmware.
