The physiotherapy department is dedicated to the provision of quality services to the local community and especially to the sporting population. The key focus of physiotherapy is the "restoration of normal function" when impaired through injury, disability, ageing or disease. Your Physiotherapist will assess your problem, identify the cause and help you to qualify your goals. We will then plan and administer a treatment program that aims to enhance the body’s natural healing process and correct any causative factors.

When you come to UniSports Centre for Sports Medicine our physiotherapists are able to offer a coordinated approach to patient care with the other health professionals in the clinic, distinguishing our practice from others by allowing a truly multi-disciplinary approach to injury management. This environment allows for continual up-skilling and sharing of information between all staff.

Injury prevention and advice on personal health programmes are available for those keen on maintaining a healthy and active body whilst we also look to maximise your physical potential for sport and activities of daily living through musculo-skeletal screens.

You may access our physiotherapists directly (i.e. without a referral from your general practitioner) for both private and ACC related injuries.
