Proofreading, Copy Typing
I used to offer all sorts of support services - including things like filing and helping with GST returns. These days however I like to keep things simple and stick to the jobs I enjoy the most. This has allowed me to free up more time to spend on other projects, such as web design (see bottom of the page), photography (watch this space) and charity work.
Copy typing and formatting
- general correspondence (including mail merges for large mailings);
- reports, proposals, contracts, manuals, articles, scripts, leases, etc (including headers and footers, footnotes, cross-references);
- essays, theses, CVs, leaflets, flyers, menus;
- tables, forms, questionnaires, invoices, labels, etc.
- including animations, notes, etc.
- including charts, graphs, formulas, etc.
Can you tell the difference between “its” and “it’s”? Between "your" and “you're”?
These are very common mistakes that your spellchecker will not pick up on. I will check your text for typographical, spelling and grammatical errors, and your formatting for things like consistency of style, fonts, spacing, etc.
Please do not confuse proofreading with copywriting. Proofreading means checking work that has already been edited, without making changes to content or style. Copywriting means editing / creating text for a specific purpose, i.e. writing the content for your website so that it appeals to your target audience, or rewording the content of a business report so that your message comes across the way that you intend it to.
Translation - English / Spanish
I was born and bred in Spain and am therefore a native speaker of the language. If you need a translation of an official document to be used in a legal context, you will most likely need the services of a sworn translator. But if all you need is someone to translate a letter/document or your website to reach out to the Spanish speaking market, then do get in touch and let's discuss how I can help you.
Website Development and Maintenance
Is your website up to date and free from spelling and grammatical errors? Do all your links work as they should? A poorly maintained website will reflect negatively on your business and could drive customers away.
